Job Description

MEP MANAGER (CONSTRUCTION)

Qualification:

  • Education:
  • Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering (specialization in MEP preferred).
  • Experience:
  • Minimum 10+ years of relevant experience in construction projects (residential, commercial, or industrial).
  • Technical Skills:
  • Knowledge of HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and ELV systems.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and MS Office.
  • Familiar with relevant codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IEC, IS, etc.).
  • Other Requirements:
  • Strong coordination and communication skills.
  • Ability to review technical drawings and resolve site issues.
  • Project planning and execution knowledge.

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Design & Planning

  • Review and interpret MEP drawings, technical specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate with consultants and architects for design intent and feasibility.
  • Ensure proper sizing and selection of MEP equipment and materials.
  • Prepare shop drawings and material submittals for approval.

2. Site Coordination

  • Supervise and monitor MEP installations at the site.
  • Coordinate with civil and architectural teams to avoid conflicts in services.
  • Conduct regular inspections to ensure work quality and compliance with design.
  • Verify contractor works and approve installation as per approved drawings.

3. Project Execution

  • Plan and schedule MEP activities as per overall project timeline.
  • Ensure timely availability of materials and manpower.
  • Monitor progress and report deviations or delays to the Project Manager.
  • Ensure that all works are executed safely and in compliance with local regulations.

4. Testing & Commissioning

  • Oversee testing, commissioning, and handover of all MEP systems.
  • Verify performance and ensure documentation (test reports, O&M manuals, as-built drawings) are complete.
  • Conduct site inspections before handover to client/consultant.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain daily site reports, material tracking logs, and progress updates.
  • Assist in preparing BOQ, estimates, and cost control reports.
  • Record changes and coordinate for as-built drawings.

6. Coordination & Communication

  • Attend project coordination meetings with consultants, contractors, and clients.
  • Liaise with procurement and subcontractors for timely material supply and execution.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From ₹45,000.00 per month
