Job Description

Ship Systems Design & Maintenance

Design and maintain mechanical systems onboard ships: propulsion, HVAC, firefighting, cooling, and ventilation systems.
Perform strength, flow, and vibration calculations for shipboard machinery.
Ensure optimal material usage, weight distribution, and service accessibility in mechanical layouts.

Dry Docking & Repairs

Support dry-docking operations by inspecting and repairing mechanical components.
Supervise overhauls of engines, pumps, compressors, and auxiliary systems.
Coordinate with shipyards and contractors for timely execution of mechanical work.

Engineering & Documentation

Conduct basic and detailed engineering using CAD tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks).
Prepare technical specifications for procurement and installation of equipment.
Document maintenance schedules, inspection reports, and compliance records.

Sustainability & Innovation

Contribute to green shipping initiatives—like hydrogen fuel cell retrofits or LNG/CNG installations.
Propose technical improvements for energy efficiency and emissions reduction.
