Planner Shipyard

Eligibility Criteria

• Educational Qualification:
• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, Naval Architecture, or related field from a recognized institution.
• Experience:
• Minimum 3 to 5 years of experience in ship repair planning, production coordination, or project scheduling within a shipyard or marine engineering environment.
• Experience working on drydock and afloat ship repair projects is highly preferred.

• Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in planning and scheduling tools such as MS Project, Primavera P6, or relevant ERP systems.
• Good understanding of ship systems, repair procedures, and classification standards.
• Familiarity with reading ship drawings, work breakdown structures (WBS), and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain detailed schedules for ship repair projects (docking and afloat).

• Coordinate with engineering, production, procurement, and quality teams to ensure schedule alignment.

• Monitor daily progress and prepare reports reflecting actual vs planned status.

• Prepare look-ahead schedules and adjust plans to accommodate delays or scope changes.

• Ensure availability of manpower, tools, and materials as per project requirements.

• Participate in progress meetings and update management and clients on schedule performance.

• Analyze resource requirements and support in manpower planning and forecasting.

• Track and report productivity, bottlenecks, and propose corrective actions.

• Support cost estimation and tendering with historical data and planning input.

• Ensure compliance with project timelines, safety standards, and classification requirements.
