Job Title: Mechanical Engineer – Automobile Industry Location: Mumbai Job Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 3–7 years preferred in the automotive sector Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Mechanical Engineer with hands-on experience in the automobile industry to join our dynamic engineering team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the design, development, testing, and manufacturing of automotive components and systems, ensuring high standards of performance, safety, and efficiency. Key Responsibilities: Design and develop mechanical components and systems for automobiles (e.g., powertrain, chassis, HVAC, suspension). Collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, production, and quality assurance to meet project requirements. Perform detailed engineering calculations and simulations (e.g., FEA, CFD) to validate designs. Create 2D and 3D CAD models using tools like CATIA, SolidWorks, or Siemens NX. Conduct failure mode analysis and implement corrective actions. Optimize product designs for cost, manufacturability, durability, and performance. Participate in prototype development and testing; analyze test results and iterate designs accordingly. Ensure compliance with automotive industry standards and safety regulations (e.g., ISO/TS 16949, IATF 16949). Support new product launches, process improvements, and supplier evaluations. Prepare technical documentation, reports, and presentations for stakeholders. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred). 3+ years of experience in mechanical design/engineering in the automobile industry. Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., CATIA, Creo, SolidWorks, NX). Knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and automotive systems. Experience with simulation tools (e.g., ANSYS, Abaqus) is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. Familiarity with quality tools and methodologies (DFMEA, PFMEA, Six Sigma, etc.). Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Show more Show less
