Market Research Executive – Enterprise Software Domain

Location: Bangalore, Hyderbad, Chennai
Experience: 2 – 4 years preferred | Exceptional freshers may apply
Travel Requirement: Frequent travel across India (3–6 days per trip, 2–3 trips/month)

Compensation: ₹25,000 – ₹45,000/ month (negotiable based on experience and ability)

Male candidates preferred due to the nature of field work and frequent solo travel requirements.

However, Women applicants with field experience and strong travel readiness are welcome to apply.

As we expand our footprint across India, we are looking for a Market Research Executive who will travel to new industrial zones, identify underserved business domains, and help shape our next generation of software products.

Role Summary

This is a strategic, field-intensive role designed for sharp, energetic professionals with an eye for spotting business potential. The executive will be responsible for market discovery, industry analysis, opportunity mapping, and competitor intelligence—directly influencing our product roadmap.

This role has high visibility and long-term growth potential into Product Strategy, Business Consulting, or Market Intelligence Leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Market Discovery

  • Travel to industrial clusters, Tier 2/3 cities, and emerging business hubs across India
  • Interact with MSMEs, service providers, and dealers to uncover pain points and unmet software needs
  • Capture region-specific workflow and automation gaps

Domain Opportunity Mapping

  • Prepare briefs on emerging or underserved domains (e.g., sheet metal fabrication, food packaging, medical device distribution)
  • Classify use cases into modules (CRM, ERP, Service, HRM, Inventory, Workflow)
  • Maintain a prioritized, opportunity-focused market map

Competitor and Landscape Intelligence

  • Identify existing solutions (if any), study their pricing, features, limitations
  • Benchmark against Inspira’s potential offerings or past products
  • Provide insight into regional players and market saturation

Field Research & Insight Reporting

  • Design and execute structured surveys (Google Forms, SurveyMonkey, etc.)
  • Submit clear, actionable reports with executive summaries, charts, and strategic recommendations
  • Minimum 1 industry/domain brief per month and 3 opportunity discovery notes per quarter

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Build a network of local influencers: trade association members, SME owners, tech advisors
  • Develop lead opportunities for future beta rollouts or product pilots

Cross-Team Collaboration

  • Present findings to Director and Product Strategy teams
  • Work closely with product managers and business analysts to convert field insight into product specs

Policy & Trend Monitoring

  • Track relevant Govt. schemes (e.g., Atmanirbhar Bharat, Digital MSME), industrial subsidies, tech adoption incentives
  • Maintain a live log of sectoral digital readiness across regions

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • 2 field trips per month (minimum)
  • 1 detailed domain/industry report per month
  • 3–4 validated market opportunities per quarter
  • Strategic inputs contributing to 1 new product concept per quarter

Preferred Skills & Tools

  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Fluency in English and Hindi (regional languages a plus)
  • Tools: Excel (Advanced), Google Sheets, Power BI or Tableau (optional)
  • Survey Tools: Google Forms, Zoho Survey, Typeform
  • CRM familiarity
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills
  • Discipline to work independently and travel alone when required

Ideal Candidate Profile

  • 1–2 years of experience in market research, B2B sales, industrial marketing, or pre-sales
  • Self-starter with high curiosity and professional maturity
  • Willingness to travel frequently and engage in ground-level discovery
  • Fresh graduates (BBA/MBA/Commerce/Economics) with strong aptitude and high confidence may also be considered
