Responsible for Identification and design of piping systems for new built vessels such as offshore platforms, rigs, oil tankers, bulk carriers, passenger vessels, small vessels etc. as well as providing engineering support for major conversion projects such as FPSO, FSO, Topside. Day- to-day operations: • To lead basic & detail design engineering activities for the assigned project(s) in Oil & Gas offshore plants, Offshore Drilling Rigs, FSRUs, FPSOs, other ships and in accordance with the Company established procedures and to independently manage projects • Responsible for activity planning, work scheduling, assigning responsibilities to engineers & designers, and monitoring to meet the project schedule with resource optimization • Responsible for engineering budget control and change management. • Review of PFD, P&ID, project specific specifications, design calculation / analysis and procurement specification for Marine systems and to support process engineering for utilities design. • Review of analysis jobs done by other engineers in softwares such as pipe stress analysis, hydraulic calculation • Shall be expert in Marine System’s designs / execution and calculation of capacities of auxiliary equipment’s (viz. pumps, heat exchanger) for new build / conversion / ship repair project(s) • Expertise in FSRUs & FPSOs conversions, LNG / NG ship conversion projects a plus • Expertise in pressure vessel designs as per ASME Sec.VIII a plus • Experience in BWMS & Exhaust Gas Cleaning scrubber retrofit engineering desirable • Good knowledge of ASME code and Classification rules to select and specify piping class, specification, materials. • Experience in offshore topside /FPSO topside piping detailed engineering • Full understanding of the marine system’s /safety and equipment involved. • Engineering Interface and coordination with other disciplines, user departments and clients.
