Job Title: Manufacturing Engineer
Location: Coimbatore
Responsibilities
- Evaluate manufacturing processes based on quality criteria such as efficiency and speed.
- Study production and machine requirements.
- Develop and test effective automated and manual systems.
- Develop and maintain documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process specifications, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Review the Design for manufacturability/serviceability and install equipment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including R&D, design engineering, quality assurance, production and suppliers to drive continuous improvement efforts.
- Participate in new product development projects, providing input on manufacturability and scalability.
- Organize and manage manufacturing resources.
- Drive initiatives for automation and digitalization of manufacturing processes to improve productivity and reduce cycle times.
- Lead and coordinate manufacturing process improvement initiatives to optimize efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Integrate disparate systems (e.g., equipment handling, transport)
- Optimize facility layouts, production lines, machine operations, and network performance.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues, ensuring minimal downtime and maximum throughput.
- Resolve issues and delays in production.
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers, production staff and contract manufacturers to resolve complex manufacturing challenges.
- Collaborate with other engineers, contractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure that manufacturing procedures follow safety and environmental regulations.
- Upgrade systems and processes with new technology.
- Able to read electrical schematic , wiring drawings and Assy drawings for Systems involving Mechanical & Electrical parts.
- Worked in Assembling fabricated & Standard components into a larger machine or system.
- Knowledge in Pneumatics and hydraulics is an advantage.
- Responsible for 5S, Health & Safety protocols & Floor Equipment’s – Stock, Calibration & Maintenance processes.
- Experience in coordinating with the Work scheduling Team & Knowledge of TPM processes.
- Hi Proficiency in AC &DC circuits is a must.
- Knowledge of instruments ( PT, Sensors., etc.)
- Knowledge of PLM/ERP (ECR, ECO)
Qualification
- B.E/M.E in Electrical Engineering
- Previous experience (2-4 years) as a manufacturing engineer or similar role.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes, fabrication methods and tool design.
- Familiarity with manufacturing equipment and quality assurance techniques and knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing processes, equipment, and materials is preferable.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks/ AutoCAD software and familiarity with data analysis tools is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor and coach junior engineers.
- Familiarity with cleanroom protocols and safety standards is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of Lean manufacturing principles and Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Project management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Travel Requirements:
- Must be able to travel up to 25% (Domestic & International), required.
