The Manager – Quality (QMS and Compliance) plays a critical role in ensuring that the organization’s products consistently meet regulatory, quality, and safety standards by implementing and maintaining a robust Quality Management System. This includes overseeing risk mitigation, CAPA, internal audits, deviation and complaint management, and ensuring adherence to SOPs and GMP across production and warehouse operations. Success in this role is defined by strong QMS compliance, high product quality, effective cross-functional collaboration, and continuous process improvement driven by data and metrics. The role is also responsible for vendor approvals, training initiatives, and leading the quality team in the absence of the Quality and Regulatory Head, making it central to the organization’s operational excellence and compliance framework.
Roles and Responsibilities:
-Quality Management System (QMS) and Compliance
-Implement and maintain a robust QMS, encompassing risk mitigation, corrective and preventive actions (CAPA), internal audits, deviation management, customer complaint resolution, and recall procedures.
-Ensure adherence to approved Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality norms, and regulatory requirements for all production and packaging processes.
-Collaborate with the Head of Department (HOD) to approve raw material and packaging material vendors.
-Conduct regular quality checks and provide feedback to quality executives to optimize product quality.
-Develop and deliver comprehensive quality-related training programs in collaboration with the HOD.
-Lead the revision and implementation of SOPs across all departments in coordination with respective HODs.
Quality Assurance and Control
-Oversee GMP compliance in production and warehouse operations, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
-Implement and monitor sampling and testing plans to ensure only approved raw materials and packaging materials are used.
-Review and analyze equipment calibration data, test reports for raw materials, packing materials, finished goods, and water. Report any deviations.
-Compile and analyze quality-related data, including quality scores, MIS reports, and vendor evaluations.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives such as Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and 5S.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
-Collaborate closely with the Microbiology team to maintain Environmental Monitoring Plans (EMP).
-Conduct internal quality audits to assess compliance with QMS requirements.
-Oversee the release of finished goods in accordance with established SOPs.
-Submit CAPA plans for review and approval by the HOD.
-Responsible for the release of Finished Goods, Unless otherwise specified by Nuflower Quality Management System
-In the absence of the Quality and Regulatory Head, the Manager-Quality will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the quality department.

Qualifications
-Master’s in food Technology and Microbiology
-Strong understanding of QMS principles, regulatory guidelines (e.g., WHO, FDA, FSSAI), and industry best practices.
-Hands-on experience in implementing and managing QMS, internal audits, CAPA systems, and regulatory inspections.
-6 to 10 years of relevant experience. Minimum 5–8 years of progressive experience in Quality within the pharmaceutical, nutraceutical, or food manufacturing industries.
