This role involves administering installations, configurations, and tuning of enterprise systems and applications, ensuring secure, high-performance IT operations that align with business objectives. The ideal candidate will have strong technical acumen and thrive in a collaborative, global IT environment.
Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructure in accordance with established standards, procedures, and guidelines.
- Perform and oversee diagnostics, issue prioritization, resolution, and client communication throughout the incident lifecycle.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess hardware and software requirements and support installation, configuration, and testing of systems and applications.
- Administer and optimize system performance through proactive management tools and continuous improvement.
- Support and maintain enterprise backup infrastructure, ensuring robust data protection and recoverability.
- Support in business continuity and disaster recovery planning, implementation, and documentation for infrastructure and related applications.
- Maintain strong relationships with internal clients to understand and fulfill their infrastructure needs.
- Stay informed on emerging technologies, particularly cloud solutions, in alignment with the firm's Cloud First strategy, with a focus on Microsoft platforms and ongoing training.
- Collaborate with global IT teams and leadership to design and maintain resilient, scalable infrastructure solutions.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Windows Server administration.
- Strong expertise in Active Directory, IIS, DHCP, DNS, iSCSI, and PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with VMware, including ESXi installation, configuration, and monitoring.
- Familiarity with enterprise backup systems, replication, SRM, and VM template management.
- Understanding of SAN storage arrays deployment and configuration in high-performance enterprise settings.
- Hands-on experience with Azure IaaS, including virtual machines, networking, storage, and high availability configurations.
- Working knowledge of Azure Arc for hybrid and multi-cloud management.
- Proficiency with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics for infrastructure monitoring, performance tuning, and issue diagnosis.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced and evolving environment.
- Agile, flexible, and comfortable working with ambiguity.
- Strong problem-solving, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, or a related engineering field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Microsoft, VMware, CompTIA) are a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a systems administration or infrastructure support role.
- Willingness to travel domestically or internationally (less than 5%).
- Availability to work after-hours or during scheduled maintenance windows as needed.
