Role Overview

The Manager – Strategic Sourcing & Supply Chain will be responsible for building a robust, cost-effective, and reliable supply chain for solar and BESS projects. This role goes beyond transactional purchasing and focuses on strategic vendor partnerships, cost optimisation, risk management, and execution support.

The role will work closely with Projects, Engineering, Finance, and Business Development teams to ensure materials are available at the right cost, quality, and time.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop sourcing strategies for key components (modules, inverters, BOS, BESS, structures, cables, etc.)
• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable vendors and OEMs
• Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and long-term supply agreements

• Manage end-to-end procurement for ongoing projects
• Ensure timely material availability aligned with project schedules
• Coordinate with project teams to manage changes, shortages, and escalations

• Drive cost optimisation through benchmarking, value engineering, and alternative sourcing
• Support project costing and margin protection
• Track price trends and support pricing decisions

• Implement procurement processes, controls, and documentation
• Manage vendor performance, quality issues, and compliance
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks (availability, logistics, price volatility)
  

Ideal Candidate Profile

• 5–10 years of experience in procurement / supply chain in solar, power, or infrastructure sectors
• Strong understanding of solar EPC components and vendor ecosystem
• Proven negotiation and commercial management skills
• Ability to work cross-functionally with Projects, Engineering, and Finance teams
• Strong ownership and execution mindset

• Experience with BESS sourcing
• Familiarity with contract management and logistics
• Exposure to ERP / procurement systems
