Role Description

Manager position in our firm to lead the accounting team and handle client delivery.

Responsibilities

• Ownership of accounting and maintenance of books of accounts.
• Preparation, review and reporting of financial statements.
• Preparation of account schedules on monthly, quarterly and annual basis.
• Ensure and monitor the closing of books in line with the applicable accounting standards and within the deadlines, after passing accruals and all closing entries.
• Making elimination entries of transactions and balances during consolidation.
• Performing translations of foreign currency balances and transactions at month-ends and arriving at exchange gain or loss.
• Developing and implementing best accounting practices, processes and systems across the Group
• Dealing with any accounting issues that arise during the month-end process
• Coordinate with auditors, take day to day responsibility for the smooth running of the audit process
• Develop and maintain internal control checklists to facilitate accuracy and integrity
• Independent review of processes to identify scope for efficiency and adherence to internal controls

Qualifications

• Educational qualifications: BCom mandatory + CA/CMA/ACCA (final or intermediate) preferred
• Knowledge of tax rules and GST
• Experience with Accounting systems
• Experience of having managed a team
• Past experience with small or medium sized organization
• Close attention to detail
• Self-motivated and ability to work without supervision remotely
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment and to turn around things quickly
• Commitment and flexibility to work to tight and demanding deadline
• Willingness to travel and relocate as needed
