Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  1. Business Development & Lead Generation

  • Identify and approach potential corporate clients through networking, cold calling, and strategic prospecting.
  • Develop a robust sales pipeline by nurturing leads and converting them into long-term customers.
  1. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers such as HR Heads, CFOs, and Risk Managers.
  • Conduct regular follow-ups and renewal discussions to ensure high client satisfaction and retention.
  1. Consultative Sales & Product Knowledge

  • Evaluate client needs and recommend appropriate insurance products (e.g., group health, liability, property, etc.).
  • Present customized solutions to meet client business objectives, risk exposures, and regulatory requirements.
  1. Negotiation & Deal Closure

  • Work closely with underwriters, finance, and compliance teams to negotiate terms and secure favorable contracts.
  • Prepare persuasive sales proposals, deliver compelling presentations, and effectively close deals.
  1. Market & Industry Research

  • Stay updated on market trends, competitor offerings, and regulatory changes to provide timely insights.
  • Incorporate data-driven analysis into pitches and strategic decisions.
  1. Performance Tracking & Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of sales activities and client interactions in a CRM system.
  • Generate regular sales reports, forecasts, and pipeline updates for management review.
  1. Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Coordinate with internal teams (e.g., underwriting, claims, marketing) to ensure seamless policy issuance and client servicing.
  • Provide feedback on market needs and opportunities to inform product development.

Key Qualifications & Skills

  • Education

    : MBA in Marketing/Insurance or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Experience

    : 8-10 years of experience in corporate insurance sales or a similar B2B sales role.
  • Industry Knowledge

    : Strong understanding of insurance products, underwriting processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills

    : Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets in a competitive environment.
  • Communication Skills

    : Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; ability to present complex information clearly.
  • Relationship Management

    : Adept at building trust and credibility with senior-level executives and stakeholders.
  • Analytical Thinking

    : Proficient in evaluating client needs, interpreting risk profiles, and recommending appropriate solutions.
  • Technical Proficiency

    : Familiarity with CRM tools, MS Office suite, and digital sales platforms.
  • Team Player

    : Collaborative approach with the ability to work effectively across departments.
