Manager, Chief Accounting & Capital Office

Gurgaon, Haryana, IndiaThe role of Manager, Investment Reporting is part of AXA XL’s global corporate investment accounting team, comprised of an internationally located team of employees. The successful candidate will have a key role in the accounting close function which includes the preparation, review and delivery of AXA XL investment-related budgets, reforcasts as well as the results for inclusion in the AXA Group Annual Report, other local/ statutory public filings and analyst materials. The role will also include supporting the climate and sustainability reporting to AXA Group.

What You’ll Be DOING

What will your essential responsibilities include?
  • Assist with the application and adoption of new investment budgeting and forecasting tool in line with AXA Group’s requirements and support the periodic budgeting activities.
  • Support submission of climate and sustainability reporting to AXA Group under Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive “CSRD”.
  • Support preparation & submission of the local statutory financial statements and investment disclosures. These deliverables include the financial statements, footnotes disclosures, reconciliations, audit packs as well as any internal management analyses.
  • Perform monthly and quarterly investment accounting close activities of the Company’s investment portfolios for various regulatory jurisdictions, as required.
  • Work on process improvement opportunities including Power query/ BI based automation.
  • Maintain role-relevant internal controls over investment accounting to meet group and local requirement and work with internal and external auditors.
  • Work on adhoc projects as required.
You will report to Senior Delivery Lead, Chief Accounting and Capital Office.

What You Will BRING

We’re looking for someone who has these abilities and skills:

Required Skills And Abilities

  • Professional accounting designation (CA, CPA or equivalent) preferred.
  • Master’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics from an accredited college or university.
  • Relevant years of financial accounting and reporting experience [investment accounting preferred but not required].
  • Working knowledge of investment products including fixed income securities, equity securities, derivative instruments and alternative investments preferred.
  • Detailed understanding and practical experience with investment related financial accounting guidance.

Desired Skills And Abilities

  • Must be a self-starter, who can work with limited supervision.
  • Must be a team player committed towards meeting deadlines.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and be able to respond to urgent ad hoc requests.
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Excel and Word is required.
  • Experience with Oracle EBS, SAP and/or Hyperion Financial Management and would be advantageous.
  • Good written and spoken communication skills.
