Job Description

We are seeking a strategic, high-performing Manager - Business Development to lead client acquisition and revenue generation efforts in North American markets. A professional with proven business development experience in the BIM/VDC industry or deep understanding of the VDC/BIM domain, and the strategic acumen to engage and influence decision-makers in a competitive international market. The ideal candidate is not just a business developer, but a strategic thinker , a client advocate , and a growth partner who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about building long-term value for the company and its clients. Role Objectives Lead the business development function for assigned geographies, with a focus on the US and Canada. Establish and grow a qualified pipeline of opportunities across AEC stakeholders (contractors, consultants, developers). Work independently and own the full sales cycle - from initial outreach to closure - while aligning closely with internal delivery, pre-sales, and leadership teams. Represent the company as a trusted partner capable of delivering high-impact BIM solutions globally. Key Responsibilities Strategic Sales Execution Own monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets with a focus on consistent growth. Develop and implement go-to-market strategies aligned with business goals and client priorities. Build market positioning through credible thought leadership and solution-focused conversations. Global Client Engagement Prospect, qualify, and engage decision-makers and stakeholders across North America. Build consultative relationships by understanding client pain points, offering tailored solutions, and delivering measurable value. Manage virtual meetings, proposal negotiations, and post-sales transitions. Technical Expertise & Solutioning Leverage a strong understanding of BIM workflows to convey value propositions in a clear, concise, and business-focused manner. Collaborate with pre-sales and technical teams to design solutions that align with client requirements and expectations. Market Development Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive positioning, and shifts in client behavior across geographies. Identify untapped sectors and new client segments for future expansion. Actively represent the company in online networking spaces, industry forums, and client meetings. Internal Collaboration Work in partnership with marketing, operations, and leadership to ensure client success and long-term engagement. Share market insights and feedback to enhance service offerings and refine positioning. Contribute to strategic planning discussions and business reviews. Reporting & Intelligence Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, pipeline status, and closure ratios using CRM tools. Present performance insights and forecasts to senior leadership. Continuously improve personal performance using data-backed insights and reflection. What We Expect From You Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Engineering. Minimum 4 years of experience in business development, with a strong preference for candidates experienced in AEC or BIM consulting/services . Prior exposure to international client management, preferably in the US/Canada markets. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with a persuasive, client-centric approach. Confidence to manage C-suite discussions and strategic accounts. Entrepreneurial mindset, self-driven attitude, and strong ownership.
