Purpose/Objective


    "Incharge - Parks & Planning is responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, development, and operational management of renewable energy parks. This role includes evaluating opportunities for bidding, ensuring compliance with Integrated Management Systems (IMS), managing mergers and acquisitions (M&A) opportunities, and driving organizational development through effective planning, coordination, and stakeholder management. The Incharge will work closely with cross-functional teams to achieve strategic business objectives and contribute to the growth of the developement of parks.Incharge is responsible for transmission evacuation planning for existing and future renewable energy projects."

Key Responsibilities of Role


    Parks & Planning Strategy: Develop and implement robust strategic planning frameworks for the design, development, and execution of renewable energy parks, ensuring alignment with company goals and market demands. Oversee site selection, network readiness studies, feasibility analyses, land acquisition processes, and permitting requirements to ensure that park developments are technically and financially viable. Lead the pre-development phase to create “plug-and-play” models for renewable energy parks, ensuring that projects are efficiently designed for smooth execution during implementation. Collaborate with regulatory authorities, environmental agencies, and internal teams to ensure strict compliance with planning, legal, and environmental standards at every stage of park development. Provide in-depth insights on cost structures, infrastructure needs, and long-term performance strategies for renewable energy park development, ensuring optimization of resources and financial returns. Ensure the integration of cutting-edge renewable energy technologies and innovative planning practices into each park design to achieve sustainability and efficiency. Documentation, Contracting, and IMS Compliance: Oversee the comprehensive documentation processes related to renewable energy parks and M&A projects, ensuring timely and accurate submissions for regulatory and internal purposes. Manage all contractual agreements, including land agreements, development contracts, power purchase agreements (PPAs), and financing arrangements, ensuring compliance with organizational standards and regulatory requirements. Ensure compliance with the Integrated Management System (IMS), focusing on quality management, operational efficiency, and adherence to risk mitigation practices across all activities. Conduct regular audits of processes, identifying areas for improvement and ensuring that the organization’s operations align with industry best practices and ISO standards. Ensure all documentation is meticulously maintained, updated, and stored according to regulatory and corporate standards, promoting transparency and accessibility. Organization Development & Team Management: Define and monitor clear KRAs and KPIs for the team, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives, performance metrics, and strategic goals. Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and leadership growth. Promote cross-functional collaboration, ensuring that the parks and planning team works cohesively with other departments such as finance, legal, and regulatory affairs. Lead the preparation of reports, presentations, and documentation for senior management reviews, ensuring timely delivery of key insights for strategic discussions and decision-making. Ensure timely disbursement of Viability Gap Funding (VGF) as part of the project budget, working closely with finance teams to resolve critical issues and ensure smooth funding flows. Stakeholder Management & Coordination: Build and nurture relationships with key external stakeholders, including government authorities, regulatory bodies, contractors, and project partners, to support the growth of renewable energy parks. Coordinate with internal M&A and finance teams to evaluate strategic opportunities, resolve critical issues, and support the acquisition of land and assets for park development. Represent the organization in industry conferences, external forums, and policy discussions, advocating for renewable energy park development and contributing to sectoral growth. Foster collaboration with stakeholders, ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements, market trends, and sustainability goals. Strategic Business Growth & Market Intelligence: Conduct comprehensive market research to identify emerging trends, new technologies, and growth opportunities within the renewable energy sector, particularly for large-scale renewable energy parks. Provide actionable strategic insights to senior leadership on new market opportunities, technological advancements, and M&A targets that could enhance the organization’s market position. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute long-term strategies for sustainable growth, focusing on maximizing revenue and operational excellence within the renewable energy parks sector. Contribute to the development of future-ready renewable energy portfolios by incorporating emerging trends, regulatory frameworks, and innovative models into park planning and execution. Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Implement a robust system for monitoring the performance of renewable energy park projects, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives, financial projections, and regulatory compliance. Prepare detailed performance reports, highlighting progress, challenges, and opportunities for improvement, and present these to senior management for strategic decision-making. Ensure timely reporting of project status, financial performance, risk assessments, and compliance with environmental and regulatory standards. Key Stakeholders - Internal: Senior Leadership Finance Team M&A Team Project Management Operations, Regulatory and Compliance Teams. Key Stakeholders - External: Government Bodies Regulatory Authorities Tender Agencies Power Companies (for M&A) Contractors Environmental and Environmental Agencies Industry Associations.

Qualifications and Experience


    Educational Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Renewable Energy, or a related field. Master’s degree or specialized certifications in Renewable Energy, Project Management, or Environmental Planning is preferred. Work Experience: Min 8-10 years of experience in project planning, renewable energy development, bidding, M&A, and regulatory compliance. Proven track record of managing large-scale renewable energy park projects, with strong technical knowledge of the planning and execution phases. Extensive experience in managing cross-functional teams, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring alignment with organizational objectives. Expertise in compliance with IMS, handling M&A opportunities, and coordinating with senior leadership on strategic decisions.
