Job Description

Title: Maintenance Officer

Educational Qualification: Engineer in Electronics and Instrumentation / Instrumentation / Electrical Engineering.Experience: 6 to 8 years in the FMCG industry, specifically in Biscuits/Bakery/Food ManufacturingLocation: Ranjangoan, Pune

Desired Competencies

  • Hands-on experience in packing machine maintenance and implementation of preventive maintenance.
  • Knowledge of critical machines and utilities, spares, and preventive maintenance schedules.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze breakdowns and implement effective solutions.
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute preventive maintenance schedules and checklists, ensuring the availability of machines to achieve productivity goals.
  • Coordinate repair and maintenance work done by external parties, ensuring the procurement of required spares.
  • Optimize and maintain critical spare parts inventory.
  • Close safety and food safety audit points on time, adhering to HACCP requirements.
  • Prepare budgets and finalize critical machine's AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract).
  • Control cost targets within budgets, tracking M&R, power, water, and HSD costs.
  • Coordinate and implement manufacturing excellence practices such as 5S, TPM, AIB, ISO 22000, ISO 45001, ISO 14001.
  • Develop daily reports for cost tracking and maintenance of M&R, power, water, and operation time.
  • Coordinate material planning and timely procurement to meet production targets.
  • Interact with the team to improve productivity, reduce downtime, maintain compliance, and enhance overall operational efficiency.
  • Plan and execute preventive maintenance on time, ensuring breakdown analysis and control of M&R expenditure.
  • Demonstrate effective cost management skills, including vendor management, negotiation, and spare management.
  • Provide training to junior assistants, operators, and technicians to establish optimum operating conditions.
  • Ensure adherence to stringent food safety norms at machines and shop floor.
  • Verify all equipment's working condition and follow shutdown procedures, including cleaning and tracking.
  • Continuously strive for technology upgradation and automation to reduce equipment downtime and contribute to engineering development.
