Job Title: Mainframe Developer Exp: 4-6 years Notice Period: 0-15 days/ serving notice Location : Pune Mode of Hire: Contract Job Summary: We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Mainframe Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mainframe applications. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system reliability, performance, and scalability. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain applications on IBM Mainframe using COBOL, JCL, CICS, and DB2. Analyze and understand business requirements, translate them into technical solutions. Develop and modify batch jobs and online programs. Perform unit testing and support system integration testing. Troubleshoot and resolve production issues in a timely manner. Write and maintain technical documentation. Ensure compliance with internal coding standards, security policies, and best practices. Collaborate with QA, Business Analysts, and other development teams. Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement efforts Required Skills and Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in mainframe development. Strong programming skills in COBOL , JCL , CICS , and DB2 . Familiarity with tools like Endevor , Expeditor , File-AID , Changeman , or Control-M . Solid understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies. Good analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Experience in the banking , insurance , or financial services domain.
