Logistics Operations Manager

Role Purpose:

Oversee the operations of the Express Distribution HUB, encompassing both Inbound and Outbound processes. This role involves leading the team and coordinating with business partners to ensure the achievement of the company’s performance goals with efficiency and precision.

Key Deliverables

• Minimize cost of Feeder and express with maximum capacity utilization
• Collaborate with the distribution warehouses on on-time departure and arrival of vehicles.
• Engage with the necessary vehicle vendors to ensure routes operate smoothly and adhere to the established schedule.
• Guarantee that all packages are dispatched according to the defined schedule, maintaining planned cooling hours and avoiding any shortages or damage.
• Optimize the use of available resources, including manpower, vehicles, and warehouse space.
• Attain the company’s targets for service performance and cost reduction.
• Ensure the safety and security of the premises and all resources.

Functional Competencies

• A collaborative team leader with a proven track record of managing teams of 10 or more staff, as well as coordinating with numerous business partners, including vendors and handlers.
• Comprehensive knowledge of the country’s geography, roadways, and regulatory environment.
• Understanding of various vehicle types and their specifications relevant to our operations.
• Familiarity with ISO processes and 5S quality standards.
• Effective communication skills for seamless coordination with other departments and team members.
• Basic computer proficiency for using company software to collect, analyze, and interpret data for performance enhancement.
• Ability to analyze data, identify improvement opportunities, and delegate tasks to team members.
• Training experience to continuously update the team on standard operating procedures and compliance processes.
