The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing logistics processes, ensuring efficient inventory management, and coordinating transportation and warehouse activities. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and the ability to drive process improvements across the organization. Responsibilities . The Logistics Operations Manager is responsible for end-to-end logistics execution and performance across the designated cluster. The role ensures operational excellence in secondary distribution, fleet management, warehouse operations, and last-mile delivery, while maintaining cost efficiency, service quality, and compliance. Develop and implement logistics strategies to enhance supply chain efficiency and effectiveness. Oversee inventory management, ensuring optimal stock levels and accurate inventory control. Manage warehouse distribution operations, including shipping & receiving, order fulfillment, and materials handling. Coordinate transportation management activities, including transportation planning and fleet management. Collaborate with purchasing and procurement teams to optimize sourcing and category management. Utilize transportation management systems (TMS) and warehouse management systems (WMS) for operational excellence. Analyze data to identify trends, improve processes, and support decision-making in logistics operations. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and best practices in warehouse operations. Lead a team of logistics professionals, providing training and development opportunities to enhance their skills. Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers (3PL) to ensure service quality. Skills Bachelor’s in Logistics, Supply Chain, or Engineering; MBA preferred. Strong knowledge of supply chain management principles and practices. Proficiency in inventory management techniques and tools. Experience in warehouse distribution, including shipping & receiving processes. Familiarity with transportation management systems (TMS) and ERP systems. Excellent data analysis skills for informed decision-making. Understanding of freight logistics, demand planning, and process improvement methodologies. Ability to manage materials handling, packaging, and order picking efficiently. Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate teams effectively. Knowledge of e-commerce logistics strategies is advantageous.
