Position: Logistics Manager Location: Ambala Industry: Food Processing / Frozen Foods / FMCG Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 5–10 years (preferably in food, FMCG, or manufacturing) Key Responsibilities:1. Supply Chain Coordination Oversee end-to-end logistics operations including inbound raw materials and outbound finished goods. Ensure timely procurement and delivery across vendors, warehouses, and distributors. Coordinate with procurement, production, sales, and warehouse teams to align supply and demand. 2. Inventory and Warehouse Management Monitor stock levels of raw materials, packaging, and finished goods. Supervise warehouse operations, including space utilization, FIFO/FEFO practices, and hygiene standards (as per FSSAI norms). Plan dispatches to ensure cold chain integrity (for frozen/chilled products). 3. Transportation Management Route planning for cost-effective and timely delivery. Negotiate with transporters and logistics partners for better freight rates and service levels. Track shipments and ensure timely deliveries with zero damage or spoilage. 4. Documentation & Compliance Maintain documentation for dispatches, gate passes, GRNs, invoices, and e-way bills. Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GST, and other transport regulations. Manage cold chain transportation logs (temperature records, handling logs, etc.) 5. Team Leadership Manage and train logistics staff, loaders, drivers, and warehouse helpers. Conduct regular audits for operational efficiency and loss prevention. Key Skills Required: Strong knowledge of logistics, warehousing, and supply chain best practices. Familiarity with cold chain logistics and food safety handling. Proficiency in Excel, Tally/ERP systems, and logistics management software. Excellent coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills. Qualifications: Graduate/Postgraduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field. Certification in SCM/Logistics Management is a plus. Experience in a food processing or FMCG environment is highly preferred .
