We’re seeking someone to join our team as a Vice President in Global Loan Servicing (GLS) team supporting EMEA and North America Global Loan Service operations teams and performing , but not limited, to Cash Reconciliation, Settlements & Servicing Functions , loan Documentation, Quality Control, Utilities, across the EMEA and North America Shifts.In the Operations division, we partner with business units across the Firm to support financial transactions, devise and implement effective controls and develop client relationships. What You'll Do In The Role
- Manage complex processes and/or support significant process management/project efforts
- Lead in process improvement, project management or technology development and testing across multiple teams and/or divisions
- Analyze and expose ambiguous, complex issues or non-standard issues, identify risks, root causes and propose future actions, tracking through to resolution
- Responsible for daily lifecycle servicing transactions within a dynamic portfolio of lending and trading positions supported by domestic and international based resources
- Ensure that loan servicing transactions are processed accurately in Loan IQ
- Work with the Business Unit (BU), Financial Controllers (FCG), Global Capital Markets (GCM), Leveraged Acquisition Finance (LAF), Lending Joint Venture (LJV), and other internal teams on issues with P&L; etc
- Maintain the team's risk control framework, including the recurring documentation of key risks and controls and execution of risk control self-assessments
- Manage special projects, including the coordination and documentation of business requirements, test scripts, and implementation plans
- Represent the team on weekly and monthly risk calls in which key performance and risk indicators will need to be articulated to senior Operations officers
- Provide ongoing coaching and feedback to a staff of Analysts, Associates, and other Directors/AVPs
- Provide supervisory oversight of an external vendor, including the monitoring of service level agreements, utilization rates, and breaches in key risk indicators
What You'll Bring To The Role
- Front-to-back knowledge of the processes, projects, systems, markets and instruments that influence their team with a comprehensive understanding of job-related operational/compliance policies and procedures
- Ability to think commercially, understand the impact of initiatives, risks on the operational budget
- Ability to address non-standard issues within area of expertise
- 5+ years of financial services operations experience required
- 5+ years of syndicated/corporate loan experience strongly preferred
- 5+ years of people, process, and/or project management experience required
- Loan IQ experience strongly preferred
- Must be proficient in documenting procedures and process flows
- Familiarity with syndicated loan products and credit documentation preferred
- Ability to obtain Series 99 licensing within six months of start date
- At least 6 years' relevant experience would generally be expected to find the skills required for this role
