Job Title: Collections cum Loan Investigation Executive Location: New Town, Kolkata, West Bengal Experience: 1+ Year Job Summary: The Collections cum Loan Investigation Executive will play a dual role, primarily focusing on the recovery of outstanding debts and, concurrently, conducting thorough investigations into loan applications and existing loan accounts to verify information, identify discrepancies, and mitigate potential risks or fraud. This role demands strong analytical, communication, and negotiation skills, along with a keen eye for detail. Key Responsibilities: Collections: Contact customers with overdue payments via phone, email, and potentially field visits Negotiate and structure realistic repayment plans and settlements while adhering to company policies and legal guidelines. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activities and customer interactions. Resolve customer queries and disputes professionally, escalating complex issues to senior management when necessary. Achieve individual and team collection targets and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Loan Investigation: Conduct thorough due diligence and verification of information provided by loan applicants, including employment, income, address, and credit history. Perform field investigations (physical visits) to verify applicant details, assess collateral (if applicable), and evaluate the genuineness of the loan purpose. Analyze financial documents, bank statements, and credit reports to assess creditworthiness and identify potential risks or red flags. Investigate cases of suspected fraud or misrepresentation in loan applications or existing loan accounts. Prepare comprehensive investigation reports detailing findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for further action (e.g., loan approval/rejection, legal action). Collaborate closely with the underwriting, credit, and legal teams to share insights and facilitate informed decision-making. Ensure all investigation activities comply with company policies, regulatory guidelines (e.g., RBI norms), and ethical standards. Qualifications: 1 year of proven experience in collections, tele-calling, customer service, or a related field within the financial services or lending industry. Prior experience or a strong understanding of loan processing, credit assessment, or fraud investigation would be a significant advantage. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and [Local Language, e.g., Bengali, Hindi]. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a meticulous approach to detail. Proficient negotiation, persuasion, and conflict resolution skills. Ability to work independently, manage a diverse portfolio of tasks, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel) and familiarity with CRM and/or loan management systems. High level of integrity, discretion, and ability to handle sensitive information confidentially.
