Job Summary: We are looking for an experienced Linux Administrator with a strong background in networking, SIP (Session Initiation Protocol), and Data Centre management. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our Linux servers, network infrastructure, VoIP systems, and ensuring the smooth operation of our Data Centre facilities. This role requires a combination of technical expertise in Linux, networking, SIP-based communication, and hands-on experience in Data Centre operations. Key Responsibilities: Linux Server Administration: Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers (e.g., Rocky, CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat) in a Data Centre environment. Manage system updates, patches, and security configurations. Automate routine tasks using shell scripts and configuration management tools. Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and troubleshoot hardware/software issues. Ensure system backups, disaster recovery, and business continuity processes are in place. Networking: Design, implement, and manage network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and VPNs. Configure and maintain DNS, DHCP, and other essential network services. Monitor network performance, optimize traffic, and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Implement network security measures, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems (IDS), and VPNs. Collaborate with ISPs, telecom providers, and external vendors to resolve network-related issues. SIP and VoIP Management: Configure, manage, and troubleshoot SIP-based VoIP systems, including SIP trunks, gateways, and PBX systems. Monitor and optimize SIP traffic to ensure quality of service (QoS) and resolve issues like call quality and latency. Work with telecom providers to manage and optimize SIP services. Implement and maintain security protocols for VoIP systems to ensure secure communications. Data Centre Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of the Data Centre, including server and other physical devices management. Ensure the maintenance of the Rack in Data Centre, including access controls, surveillance, and monitoring systems. Manage server rack installations, cabling, and hardware upgrades. Coordinate with vendors for maintenance, and support services. Collaboration and Support: Work closely with development, IT, telecommunications, and Data Centre teams to ensure seamless operations and integration of services. Provide support for network, Linux, VoIP, and Data Centre-related issues to internal teams and end-users. Document configurations, procedures, network diagrams, VoIP setups, and Data Centre layouts. Participate in on-call rotation to address urgent issues. What Youll Need : Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, Telecommunications, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience as a Linux Administrator with a focus on networking, VoIP/SIP, and Data Centre management. In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (e.g., CentOS, Ubuntu, Red Hat). Strong understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP/HTTPS, FTP, etc.). Experience with SIP-based VoIP systems, including configuration and troubleshooting. Hands-on experience in Data Centre operations, including server management, rack installation, and environmental monitoring. Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) and configuration management tools. Knowledge of security best practices and tools. Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication and documentation skills. Preferred Qualifications: Certifications such as RHCE, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent. Experience with VoIP systems like Asterisk, Free SWITCH, or Cisco Unified Communications. Knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) is an added advantage.
