Legal Manager

The Legal Manager will handle legal notices, litigation, court matters, and maintain Legal MIS/Dashboards for the bank. The role involves coordinating with internal teams, external counsel, and ensuring legal compliance across business activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Draft and respond to legal notices and customer disputes.
• Manage litigation matters including civil, criminal, recovery, arbitration, DRT/DRAT cases.
• Coordinate with external advocates, review pleadings, and track court hearings/orders.
• Provide legal advice on banking operations, lending, recovery, and regulatory issues.
• Review contracts, loan documents, and agreements.
• Maintain Legal MIS, dashboards, and case repositories; prepare periodic reports for management.
• Support internal teams by providing timely legal inputs and risk mitigation guidance.

Qualifications & Experience

• LL.B. (mandatory); LL.M. preferred.
• 5–10 years of legal experience, with exposure to banking/financial services.
• Strong experience in litigation management, legal drafting, and court coordination.
• Good understanding of banking laws, SARFAESI, NI Act, Contract Act, and RBI guidelines.

Skills

• Strong drafting, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume legal cases and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel/Power BI for Legal MIS (preferred).
• High integrity, attention to detail, and stakeholder management.
