About the Role: Summit Consulting is hiring a Legal Counsel who will work closely with multiple clients to review, draft, and negotiate client and vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance. Key Responsibilities Review, draft, and negotiate client and vendor contracts, ensuring alignment with company policies and risk tolerance. Identify potential legal risks in agreements and propose appropriate modifications to protect the organization’s interests. Ensure contracts comply with applicable laws and regulations, including data privacy, intellectual property, and industry-specific requirements. Work closely with sales, procurement, and business teams to understand commercial requirements and provide timely legal support. Maintain a repository of executed contracts, track key milestones, renewal dates, and obligations to ensure compliance and timely actions. Assist in managing disputes arising from contractual relationships and collaborate with external counsel if needed. Help develop contracting policies and conduct training sessions for business teams on contract best practices. Conduct legal due diligence on new vendors and clients as part of the onboarding or partnership process. Create and maintain standard contract templates to streamline the contracting process and reduce turnaround times. Provide ongoing legal advice related to contracts and escalate critical issues to senior management with clear recommendations. Qualifications & Experience: Education : Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree; additional qualifications like LLM or Corporate Law specialization preferred. Experience : 6 – 10 years of experience in: Experience reviewing and negotiating client/vendor contracts in sectors such as IT, consulting, or services. Strong understanding of commercial law, intellectual property, confidentiality, and compliance.
