Lease Analyst

Job Title: Lease Analyst Trainee

Position Summary:

The Lease Analyst Trainee is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and managing lease agreements and related documents. This role ensures accurate interpretation and abstraction of lease terms, compliance with contractual obligations, and timely execution of all financial and administrative duties related to real estate leases.

Key Responsibilities:

Lease Abstraction and Interpretation

Review, interpret, and abstract lease agreements, amendments, and related documents.

Accurately summarize critical lease data, including rent, escalation terms, options, expirations, and operating expenses.

Data Management

Maintain accurate and up-to-date lease data in the lease administration system.

Regularly audit lease data to ensure compliance and resolve discrepancies.

Rent and Financial Responsibilities

Review and reconcile landlord billings against lease terms.

Assist in budgeting and forecasting of rent obligations and other lease-related expenses.

Lease Compliance

Monitor critical dates (e.g., renewals, terminations, rent increases) and ensure timely action.

Support lease audits to confirm compliance with lease terms.

Reporting

Prepare regular lease reports, summaries, and variance analyses for management.

Support real estate and finance teams with data and reporting requests.

Address landlord queries and resolve lease-related disputes or discrepancies.

Process Improvement

Identify and implement opportunities for improving lease administration processes and systems.

Assist in the development of lease abstraction tools, templates, and procedures.
