Your day at NTT DATA

The Desk Lead of the  L&D and Talent Management,  will required to design, operationalize, and manage the L&D and Talent Management Desk from India.

This lead should work with all stakeholders across the global English Speaking countries (eg US, Canada, UK, ANZ, India, etc) and ensure Shared Services organization.

The candidate will be  responsible for building the L&D and Talent Delivery support ecosystem that includes supporting internal capability development, the  growth of the desk model, and career progression across all India OpCos — aligning to NTT DATA’s global people strategy.

The candidate will work in close partnership with Global P&C L&D CoE, Learning Business Partners and P&C Business Partners of the countries supported through India, and Business Leaders to ensure that learning and talent management processes are efficient, data-driven, and business-impact focused.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and Build the L&D and Talent Management Shared Services Desk

  • Design and implement the L&D and Talent Management service delivery framework for NTT DATA India Delivery Centre.
  • Define service catalogues, SLAs, KPIs, and governance models for learning and talent services delivered across relevant OpCos.
  • Lead the transition and harmonization of existing L&D and Talent processes from multiple entities into a single integrated delivery model.
  • Partner with global and India CoEs to ensure alignment with enterprise frameworks and talent strategy.

2. Service Delivery and Operations

  • Establish a high-performing L&D and Talent Delivery Hub responsible for execution, reporting, and analytics.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of learning operations (program scheduling, content administration, nominations,  reporting, etc).
  • Drive standardization and automation across learning systems and talent processes (succession planning, performance calibration, tracking).
  • Ensure data accuracy, process efficiency, and measurable business outcomes through KPI-driven performance management.

3. Learning & Development Leadership

  • Partner with P&C Business Partners and CoEs to deploy confirmed learning programs (leadership, functional, behavioral, and technical learning).
  • Drive digital learning adoption and help with campaigns to build a “culture of learning” across OpCos.
  • Measure ROI, and analytics dashboards.

4. Talent Management & Development

  • Operationalize talent review, succession planning, and high-potential development processes for India under guidance from the Talent Management CoE
  • Ensure consistency and governance of performance management and talent data across all entities.
  • Support deployment of career pathing, IDP frameworks, and leadership pipeline initiatives.
  • Partner with P&C analytics teams to provide insights on talent trends, bench strength, and readiness.

5. Team Leadership and Capability Building

  • Lead and develop a specialist team managing the L&D and Talent desk operations.
  • Build a culture of ownership, Data driven support; analytics, and continuous improvement.
  • Encourage the use of data and dashboards to track SLAs, learning effectiveness, and talent metrics.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with P&C Service Delivery, P&C Technology, and CoEs to ensure an integrated experience for all stakeholders.

Some Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

  • L&D and Talent Management process SLAs met/exceeded.
  • Ticket Resolution SLAs
  • Stakeholder satisfaction (NPS > target).
  • Learning completion metrics.
  • Reduction in manual efforts through process automation.
  • Accuracy and timeliness of analytics and dashboard reporting.

Qualifications and Experience

  • MBA / Master’s in HR, Organizational Development, or related discipline.
  • 12+ years of HR experience, with at least 8+ years in Learning & Development and Talent Management roles within the IT / Technology Services industry.
  • Strong background in shared services setup, transformation, or service delivery leadership.
  • Experience working in global matrix structures and collaborating across OpCos or business entities.
  • Hands-on experience with LMS, talent systems, HR analytics platforms, and reporting tools (e.g., SuccessFactors, Workday, etc).
  • Demonstrated ability to design scalable processes and lead large teams in a metrics-driven environment.
