Job Summary

Roles And Responsibilities

Performance Engineering and Reliability :

• Design, implement, and execute advanced performance, load, stress, and scalability testing strategies to proactively identify bottlenecks and capacity limits across the application stack.
• Focus on multi-tenant system testing, specifically validating system reliability, performance, isolation, and security under concurrent, high-volume scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with development and DevOps teams to interpret test results and drive performance tuning and optimization efforts within the application and infrastructure layers.
  

Advanced Database Testing And Validation

• Design and execute database-specific testing, including data integrity checks, transaction integrity validation, complex query performance testing, and schema migration validation.
• Perform database performance tuning and optimization, analyzing execution plans, indexing strategies, and stored procedure efficiency.
• Develop custom SQL scripts and tools for comprehensive backend data validation and verification against business rules.
  

Leadership And Strategy

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship within the QA team, particularly in specialized areas like performance engineering and database testing.
• Contribute to the definition and implementation of the overall QA strategy, ensuring coverage for non-functional requirements (NFRs).
• Collaborate effectively with distributed QA teams, fostering consistency in tools, methodologies, and reporting standards.
  

Automation And Tooling

• Select, implement, and integrate specialized performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling) and database diagnostic utilities.
• Ensure performance and database testing is integrated into the CI/CD pipeline for continuous validation.
  

Requirements

• Experience : Typically 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance, with a significant focus on Performance and/or Database Testing.
• Performance Testing : Proven expertise in designing and executing large-scale performance, load, stress, and scalability testing strategies.
• Database Proficiency : Strong practical experience in database-specific testing and hands-on performance tuning (e.g., query analysis, indexing).
• Technical Skills : Proficiency with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter) and deep knowledge of SQL/database technologies (e.g., PostgreSQL, SQL Server).
• Methodology : Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA processes, preferably in an Agile environment.
  

Nice To Have

• Domain Expertise : Expertise with multi-tenant system testing focusing on reliability, performance, isolation, and security.
• Leadership : Prior formal or informal Leadership experience in distributed QA teams.
• Experience writing custom automation scripts for data validation using Python or other scripting languages.
• Relevant certifications in performance testing or cloud platforms.
