About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a
Lead Software Engineer.
In this Role, you will:-
Lead the end-to-end design, development, and deployment of scalable and secure applications for CIB business functions.

Architect and implement microservices-based solutions using Java, Spring Boot, and container technologies.

Design and develop responsive and intuitive UI Components using React.js or Angular.
-
Optimize and manage SQL databases, ensuring high performance and data integrity.
-
Build and manage containerized applications using Docker and deploy them on Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).
-
Collaborate with product owners, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
-
Ensure adherence to coding standards, security policies, and regulatory requirements specific to the financial domain.
-
Mentor junior engineers and foster a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.

Drive DevOps practices including CI/CD automation, monitoring, and incident response.
Required Qualifications:-
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:-
Bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field.

5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 2 years in a lead role.

Strong hands-on experience with Java, Spring Boot, and RESTful APIs.

Proficiency in React.js or Angular for front-end development.

Solid understanding of SQL and relational database design (e.g., MS SQL Server).
-
Experience with Docker and container orchestration using OpenShift (OCP) or Kubernetes.
-
Proven track record in designing and implementing microservices architectures.
-
Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git Action, Harness) and source control (Git).
-
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills.
-
Experience in the Corporate & Investment Banking domain or other financial services.
-
Exposure to event-driven architecture and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka etc.).
-
Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
-
Experience in cloud environments (Azure or GCP).
-
Red Hat OpenShift certification or equivalent.
