Lead - IT

Hyderabad Duty Free, part of the GMR Group, is seeking an experienced Lead – IT from a retail background to oversee the end-to-end planning, implementation, and management of IT systems like Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), Business Central, and LS Retail and infrastructure across our duty-free businesses in Hyderabad, Kannur, Goa, Vizag, and other upcoming locations.

This role demands strong leadership and technical expertise to drive digital transformation in a retail environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing enterprise systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision), Business Central, and LS Retail, ensuring high availability of network infrastructure and maintaining compliance with airport and duty-free regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership

• Develop and implement IT roadmaps aligned with business goals.
• Lead digital transformation and technological innovation initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to business leadership.

Enterprise Systems Management

• Manage implementation, integration, and support of Navision and LS Retail across Finance, Sales, Inventory, and Procurement.
• Ensure effective integration of ERP, CRM, eCommerce, and analytics systems.

IT Infrastructure & Network Management

• Maintain secure and scalable network infrastructure across stores, warehouses, and corporate offices.
• Manage firewalls, VPNs, WAN/LAN, and wireless systems to support 24/7 operations.

Airport & Retail Tech Integration

• Ensure compliance with airport authorities, customs systems, and regulatory requirements.
• Deploy technology solutions for POS, customer engagement, and inventory optimization.
• Leverage analytics and business intelligence to enhance sales and operations.

Cybersecurity & Governance

• Develop cybersecurity policies and ensure compliance with IT audits and data protection regulations.
• Maintain business continuity plans and disaster recovery processes.

People & Vendor Management

• Lead and mentor a team of IT professionals across ERP, network, and support functions.
• Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and SLAs.
• Oversee IT budgets and ensure cost-effective technology investments.

Candidate Profile

• 12–18 years of total IT experience with at least 5 years in a leadership role in retail or airport-based operations.
• 8–12 years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics NAV (Navision) and LS Retail.
• Strong understanding of network infrastructure, cybersecurity frameworks, and retail technology ecosystems.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
