Role Description

This position will be responsible for designing, developing, and testingof code to enhance and cultivate several of the company solutions for new APIand Data product offerings. Responsibilities include building new products,tooling support, and tests. Our environment Systems running on latest Ruby,Rails, and Elixir. Private Git/GitHub repository, Jira for tickettracking/scrum sprints and GitHub for code reviews 1:1 test coverage for mostof codebase and 2:1 for prime areas Mac laptops provided for developmentJenkins for continuous integration AWS native applications Agile teamscomprised of Software Developers and Software Test EngineersExperience with functional programming languages likeElixir Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experienceExperienced developer in full stack web development, able to build completedata-backed products Full MVC (model-view-controller) development experienceExperience using Git productively in a team environment Experience withDocker Experience with Amazon Web Services Ability to sit with business ortechnical SMEs to listen, learn and propose technical solutions to businessproblems Experience using and adapting to new technologies Take andunderstand business requirements and goals Work collaboratively with projectmanagers and stakeholders to make sure that all aspects of the project aredelivered as planned Involved at all stages of the development life cycle:initial analysis, implementation, integration, testing, debugging, andsupport Willing to assume leadership for products, design patterns, testcoverage, line of business, or other areas of focus Experience with TDD (testdriven development) or at least commitment to full test coverage using moderntest methods Empathy for consumers, teammates, business owners, and otherstakeholders Love working as part of a team and continuously strive forself-improvement Knowledge and Experience: Several years of functionalprograming experience and 5+ years of evolving experience Excellentanalytical and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational skills Provenverbal and written cross-department and customer communication skillsExperience with Kafka Strong SQL skills with MySQL or PostgreSQLExperience with non-relational databases and their role in web architecturesdesired
