Job Description

Who we are:

We are a start-up based out of Bengaluru & Delhi NCR. We are engaged in the development of next-generation missions and technologies (NGM&T) for future warfare needs of the Indian Defense forces. It is undertaking research towards enhancing persistence and autonomy for unmanned vehicles and robotic swarms.

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of avionics systems for ongoing and upcoming UAV platforms, focusing on mission-specific and safety-critical requirements.
  • Research and select suitable electronic components, sensors, and hardware for performance, reliability, and environmental adaptability.
  • Integrate sensors such as GPS, IMU, lidar, radar, and vision systems for navigation, obstacle avoidance, and situational awareness.
  • Develop, test, and maintain autopilot and navigation software, leveraging real-time data and control algorithms.
  • Assemble, integrate, and test electrical and propulsion systems, including BLDC motors, EFI Internal Combustion Engines (ICE), JET Engines and other configurations.
  • Conduct comprehensive testing to validate UAV performance, stability, and reliability under diverse operational conditions.
  • Implement redundancy and fail-safe mechanisms, ensuring safe and reliable operations during flight.
  • Document deviations and maintain records of design, testing, and configuration processes for regulatory compliance.
  • Investigate and resolve technical challenges during development and testing phases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, engineers, and stakeholders, to optimize UAV systems.
  • Ensure adherence to aviation regulations and standards, participating in certification processes.
  • Prepare technical reports, operational manuals, and detailed documentation for regulatory
and internal purposes. • Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance UAV capabilities.
  • Contribute to R&D efforts for cutting-edge UAV system innovations.

Must have skills:

  • 7 to 10 years of experience in UAV or aerospace systems.
  • Proven expertise in avionics system design, integration, and testing, particularly in VTOL platforms.
  • Strong proficiency in embedded systems, control algorithms, and sensor integration.
  • Hands-on experience with flight controllers and single-board computers (e.g., Raspberry Pi, Nvidia Jetson).
  • Experience with protocols such as Serial, I2C, UART, and CAN is preferred.
  • Proficiency in assembly, soldering, crimping, and integration techniques for UAV systems.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, with an innovative mindset and passion for UAV technology.
Good to have skills:
  • Proven experience managing UAV development projects in an R&D environment.
  • Strong understanding of UAV technologies, systems, and development methodologies.
  • Familiarity with aviation regulations and military standards related to UAV development.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in aerospace engineering, Mechanical, Electronics Engineering, Project Management, or a related field.
