Job Description In This Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be: Review the product designs and provide review comments to designers, with respect to applicable UL, FM, CSA, IEC, and similar standards for products categories such as industrial and hazardous location Pressure, Temperature, and Flow transmitters Co-ordinate with local and international labs and certification bodies to get the products certified Assess the drawings, manuals, descriptive reports to ensure the compliance with the standards Prepare assessment report, construction review, test plan, sample requirement and execute the tests thru internal as well as external certification body test labs Identify the non-compliance gaps and co-work with design team to fix the issues Guide internal & external customers regarding the matters of both ordinary and hazardous location product safety certifications Participate in Engineering changes, conducting the analysis of modifications affecting the certification of those products under change Who You Are: You take initiatives and doesn’t wait for instructions and proactively seek opportunities to supply. You adapt quickly to new situations and apply knowledge effectively. Clearly convey ideas and actively listen to others to complete assigned task as planned. For This Role, You Will Need: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronics/Electronics & Communications 8-10 years of relevant experience in the certification domain Working experience of ordinary location and Hazardous location standards like IEC 60079 series, UL 61010-1, UL50E, and equivalent CSA standards Experience working with certification agencies like FM, CSA, Dekra, etc. Self-motivated, capable of working with minimal supervision Undertakes work in an efficient and timely manner A willingness to learn is critical Preferred Education, Experience & Skills Knowledge of ISO/IEC 17025 laboratory management system Electrical background for Intrinsic safety design and requirements Hands of experience of product safety testing on own Working knowledge of CE marking Our Culture & Commitment to You At Emerson, we prioritize a workplace where every employee is valued, respected, and empowered to grow.
