Job Description – AI & Data Scientist (Ultrasound Imaging)Position OverviewWe are seeking an AI & Data Scientist to join our Ultrasound Innovation Team, dedicated to revolutionizing ultrasound imaging through advanced AI and computer vision. The ideal candidate will bring strong expertise in machine learning, computer vision, and data science, with a passion for medical imaging. You will play a key role in developing cutting-edge algorithms and AI-powered systems that enhance the accuracy, efficiency, and usability of ultrasound technology.
Key ResponsibilitiesAI Model Development: Design, train, and deploy machine learning/deep learning models for ultrasound image analysis (segmentation, classification, anomaly detection).
Computer Vision: Apply CNNs and other state-of-the-art methods for interpreting complex ultrasound images.
Data Management & Analysis: Preprocess, clean, and analyze large labeled/unlabeled ultrasound datasets to drive model development.
Clinical Collaboration: Partner with radiologists and clinicians to ensure solutions meet real-world diagnostic needs.
Algorithm Optimization: Enhance accuracy, speed, and robustness of AI algorithms for real-time clinical use.
Performance Evaluation: Develop testing frameworks and evaluate models using KPIs such as precision, recall, and sensitivity.
Research & Innovation: Stay current with AI, computer vision, and medical imaging advancements to bring innovative solutions.
Documentation: Prepare detailed technical documentation, reports, and publications.
Required QualificationsEducation: Master’s/PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Biomedical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field (focus on AI/ML/Computer Vision).
Experience:
15+ years in AI, ML, or data science roles.
Proven expertise in computer vision (segmentation, object detection, pattern recognition), ideally with medical imaging (ultrasound preferred).
Strong experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, Keras, PyTorch).
Handling large-scale medical datasets.
Technical Skills:
Python proficiency with libraries (OpenCV, NumPy, scikit-learn, PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Familiarity with DICOM and medical imaging processing.
Medical Imaging Knowledge:
Understanding of ultrasound principles and workflows.
Knowledge of medical image annotation challenges.
Soft Skills:
Strong problem-solving and innovation mindset.
Excellent written and verbal communication for cross-disciplinary collaboration.
Ability to explain complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in reinforcement learning or unsupervised learning for medical imaging.
Background in healthcare workflows and regulatory requirements (FDA, CE).
Experience with real-time AI systems in clinical environments.
Contributions to research publications or patents in AI and ultrasound imaging.
