Job Summary

We are seeking a strategic and technically proficient Lead Data Warehouse Engineer to architect, manage, and evolve our enterprise data warehouse. This role will lead the data engineering team, drive best practices in data modeling and ETL development, and ensure high-performance data solutions that support business intelligence and analytics across the organization.

Key Responsibilities

 Data Warehouse Development: Design and setup data warehouse from scratch while ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with business goals.

 Dimensional Modeling & Data Governance: Lead the design of dimensional models (facts and dimensions) and enforce data governance standards to maintain a single version of truth.

 ETL Strategy & Development: Oversee the development and optimization of ETL pipelines using SSIS, Python, and cloud-native tools. Ensure efficient data ingestion from systems like Oracle NetSuite, Salesforce, Ragic, SQL Server, MySQL, and Excel.

 Performance Optimization: Monitor and tune database performance, indexing strategies, and query execution plans to ensure optimal system responsiveness.

 Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and deliver actionable insights.

 Team Mentorship & Project Oversight: Mentor junior engineers, conduct code reviews, and manage project timelines and deliverables within the data engineering team.

 Documentation & Compliance: Maintain comprehensive documentation for data flows, integration logic, and system configurations. Ensure compliance with internal and external data standards.

Required Skills & Qualifications

 Must have

o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.

o 12+ years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server.

o Expertise in building Data Warehouse using SQL Server.

o Hands-on experience Dimensional Modeling using Facts and Dimensions.

o Experience with cloud-based SQL databases like Azure SQL or Azure Synapse.

o Expertise in SSIS and Python for ETL development.

o Familiarity with Azure Data Factory.

o Strong experience in Power BI for reporting and data visualization.

o Strong understanding of relational database design, indexing, and performance tuning.

o Ability to write complex SQL scripts, stored procedures and views.

o Experience with Git and JIRA.

o Problem-solving mindset and analytical skills.

o Excellent communication and documentation abilities.

 Nice to Have

o Experience with Microsoft Fabric.

o Experience with Azure Databricks.

o Familiarity with CI/CD for database deployments and automation tools.

o Knowledge of big data technologies like Snowflake
