About the Role: Lead- Data Engineering

India (Remote)As a Lead Data Engineer at Delphi, you’ll be responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines and solutions using
Microsoft Fabric
. You’ll lead efforts to streamline data processing, storage, and integration to empower data-driven decision-making across the organization. What You’ll Do
- Design Data Solutions: Lead the design and implementation of scalable data solutions using Azure, Databricks, and Fabric, ensuring high availability, reliability, and performance.
- Data Pipeline Development: Build and maintain efficient ETL/ELT pipelines to process large datasets, ensuring data is cleansed, structured, and ready for analysis.
- Data Architecture and Integration: Architect and integrate systems for seamless data flow across multiple platforms and teams, ensuring data consistency and accessibility.
- Collaborate with Teams: Work closely with data scientists, analysts, and business teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that support advanced analytics and AI/ML initiatives.
- Optimize Data Models: Continuously monitor and improve data pipelines and models for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring they meet business needs.
- Cloud Platform Proficiency: Utilize Azure Fabric to build cloud-native data platforms that enable the integration and processing of diverse datasets.
- Mentorship and Leadership: Guide junior engineers and team members in best practices for data engineering, helping to foster an environment of continuous learning and development.
- Client and Stakeholder Collaboration: Work with business leaders and clients to understand their data needs and translate them into robust, scalable engineering solutions.
What You’ll Bring
- Proven Expertise: At least 7 years of experience in data engineering, with hands-on expertise in building and optimizing data pipelines using Data Factory
- Advanced Data Engineering Skills: Strong experience with SQL, Python, Spark, and other data processing tools for ETL/ELT processes and big data technologies.
- Cloud Platforms Proficiency: In-depth knowledge of Azure Fabric for developing, deploying, and maintaining scalable data solutions in the cloud.
- Data Architecture and Design: Expertise in designing and implementing data architectures, data warehouses, and data lakes to support diverse data workflows and analytics.
- Performance Optimization: Experience optimizing data pipelines and solutions for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency, ensuring high-quality data delivery.
- Collaboration and Communication: Proven ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders, and to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
- Leadership and Mentorship: A track record of leading and mentoring teams, fostering an environment of knowledge sharing and technical growth.
