Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant – AWS specialist role
We are looking for a seasoned AWS Cloud Specialist – Lead Consultant to drive cloud transformation initiatives, deliver scalable and secure AWS solutions, and guide clients or internal stakeholders in adopting AWS services. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in AWS architecture, infrastructure automation, security, and cloud-native design patterns, with strong leadership and client engagement skills.
Responsibilities
Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of AWS infrastructure solutions across various domains (compute, storage, networking, security, serverless, etc.).
Collaborate with stakeholders to assess business requirements and translate them into secure, scalable AWS architectures.
Develop and implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
Build and manage CI/CD pipelines using tools like CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions.
Guide and lead cloud migration initiatives (lift-and-shift, re-platforming, or re-architecting workloads).
Implement AWS security best practices, including IAM, KMS, GuardDuty, CloudTrail, Config, and SCPs.
Use AWS native services such as EC2, VPC, S3, Lambda, RDS, ECS/EKS, CloudWatch, and Systems Manager for architecture and automation.
Conduct Well-Architected Reviews (WAR) and provide remediation recommendations.
Work closely with DevOps, Security, and Development teams to integrate AWS infrastructure with modern application deployment strategies.
Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and guidance to junior engineers and consultants.
Create and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
Stay updated with AWS service enhancements and emerging best practices.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
Expert-level knowledge in AWS core services (EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, IAM, Route 53, Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFormation).
Proficiency in Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK for infrastructure provisioning.
Experience with container technologies like Docker and orchestration platforms like ECS or EKS.
Hands-on experience with monitoring, logging, and cost optimization in AWS environments.
Solid grasp of AWS security, compliance, and networking concepts (VPN, Direct Connect, NACLs, Security Groups).
Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, GitHub, Ansible, or AWS Systems Manager.
Experience in migrating on-prem or legacy workloads to AWS.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with experience in high-availability and disaster recovery strategies.
