We are currently looking for a Lead Cloud Software Engineer in India.In this role, you will lead the development of scalable cloud solutions that power internal teams and enhance operational efficiency across a global technology environment. You will design and implement cloud-native architectures, build automation that accelerates deployment processes, and drive the migration of complex applications to modern containerized platforms. Working at the intersection of engineering excellence and reliability, you will influence key technical decisions, elevate infrastructure performance, and enable teams to deliver high-quality services at scale. This is a strategic position where your leadership and cloud expertise will have a direct impact on product velocity, system resilience, and customer outcomes.
Accountabilities:
- Build automation to support container technologies and lead the migration of microservices to standardized platforms such as EKS and AKS
- Contribute to the transition of monolithic applications into modern, containerized infrastructures
- Participate in design and evaluation of new tools, technologies, and best practices to advance engineering capabilities
- Manage cloud automation pipelines, Kubernetes pods, and the overall orchestration of cloud resources
- Architect and enhance cloud platform services, ensuring reliable delivery and operational excellence
- Develop tools and internal applications using Terraform, YAML, JavaScript, Ruby, PowerShell, and Bash to expand operational functionality
- Lead AWS platform design initiatives in collaboration with architecture teams
- Support service operationalization using observability tools such as New Relic
- Provide expertise for API Gateway and other key infrastructure components
Requirements
- At least 8 years of professional technical experience, including 4 years of programming or scripting with languages such as Java, Python, Ruby, Bash, PowerShell, or JavaScript
- Strong experience creating scalable CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar tools
- Proven background in building and managing developer-centric shared service platforms
- Hands-on experience onboarding teams to Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD workflows
- Expertise in cloud hosting environments such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
- Proficiency with configuration management tools including Terraform, Chef, Puppet, or Ansible
- Deep experience with Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, AKS, or equivalent orchestration technologies
- Knowledge of AWS Controllers for Kubernetes, Crossplane, or similar tools
- Strong Git-based source control experience and familiarity with robust branching strategies
- Ability to design, deploy, and operate immutable infrastructure at scale
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner across technical and non-technical teams
