The Role

hands-on Engineering Lead / Manager

UI/UX awareness

Responsibilities

Engineering
: Design and code backend services in
Java
/
Golang
/
Python
; lead system architecture for distributed systems and AI infra.
Scalability
: Build high-performance services with
caching (Redis, Memcached)
and
queues/streaming (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS, Pub/Sub)
.
Databases
: Optimize and scale
Postgres/MySQL (relational)
and
MongoDB/DynamoDB (NoSQL)
; integrate
VectorDBs
for AI workflows.
AI Integration
: Deliver
RAG pipelines
, AI agents, and workflow automation; partner with ML engineers for human-in-the-loop annotation.
Cloud & Infra
: Deploy on
AWS/GCP
with Kubernetes, infra-as-code, and strong CI/CD pipelines.
Reliability
: Establish monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog, OpenTelemetry).
Leadership
: Run 1:1s, mentor engineers, drive planning/execution, and raise engineering quality.
Product Alignment
: Apply
UI/UX understanding
in product discussions to ensure usability and stakeholder satisfaction.

Requirements

8+ years in software engineering, with 2–3+ years leading teams.
Strong backend expertise in
Java
/
Golang/Python, distributed systems, APIs, caching, and queues
.
Database knowledge:
Postgres/MySQL
,
MongoDB/DynamoDB
, and
VectorDBs (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS)
.
Experience with
RAG pipelines, AI agents, and workflow automation
.
Cloud-native deployment experience (
AWS/GCP, Kubernetes, infra-as-code, CI/CD
).
Proven ability to balance
hands-on coding with leadership/mentorship
Strong
UI/UX awareness
for stakeholder and product alignment.
Bonus: Annotation platforms, ML pipelines, compliance/security (SOC2, GDPR, HIPAA).
