Lead Backend Engineer

Role Overview: You will be responsible for architecting backend systems in NestJS and Golang to meet global scale and enterprise-grade performance. Your role will involve driving the design for microservices, real-time communications (WebSockets, WebRTC), and data stores (PostgreSQL, Redis). You will lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, maintain CI/CD discipline, mentor and upskill backend engineers, collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product leaders, and own technical problem-solving to anticipate bottlenecks and prevent tech debt. Key Responsibilities: - Architect backend systems in NestJS and Golang for global scale and enterprise grade performance - Drive design for microservices, real-time communications, and data stores - Lead code reviews, enforce coding standards, and maintain CI/CD discipline - Mentor and upskill backend engineers - Collaborate cross-functionally with frontend, DevOps, and product leaders - Own technical problem-solving and prevent tech debt - Manage task allocation, workflow discipline, and ensure smooth collaboration with frontend and DevOps Qualifications Required: - 6-8+ years of experience in backend engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role - Expertise in Golang and Node.Js (NestJS) - Deep knowledge of PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes - Strong command over microservices, RESTful APIs, and authentication protocols - Prior experience with real-time systems (WebSockets, WebRTC, mediasoup is a big plus) - Must be a builder and owner with a hunger to ship fast, fail fast, and optimize endlessly Please note: The company is based in Navi Mumbai and is focused on building products for the world.,
