Job Purpose:
Executive - Slot Management is responsible for managing airport slot allocations, coordinating schedules with airlines, and optimizing the use of airside resources to ensure efficient flight operations. This role involves collaborating closely with airlines, air traffic control, and airport operations teams to maintain adherence to scheduling guidelines and optimize airport capacity utilization.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the AOCC team to ensure 24/7 operational efficiency and seamless coordination among all airport stakeholders, including airlines, ground handlers, and security agencies.
- Monitor and optimize airport operations using advanced systems and tools, ensuring adherence to operational KPIs such as on-time performance, passenger flow, and resource utilization.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AOCC operations, ensuring alignment with Adani Airports’ operational standards and best practices.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address operational challenges, ensuring quick resolution and minimal disruption to airport services.
- Utilize data analytics and real-time monitoring tools to identify trends, predict operational bottlenecks, and implement proactive measures.
- Drive initiatives to enhance passenger experience, including efficient queue management, timely communication, and seamless service delivery.
- Ensure effective crisis management and emergency response coordination, maintaining operational continuity during disruptions.
- Support the integration and utilization of digital platforms and technologies to enhance operational visibility and decision-making.
- Provide regular performance reports and insights to the Head Aero AOCC, recommending improvements and innovations to enhance operational outcomes.
- Foster a culture of continuous improvement, safety, and collaboration within the AOCC team and across airport operations
Qualifications
Required Qualifications & Experience
- 10-15 years of experience in airport operations, with a proven track record of managing control center functions or similar roles.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams in a high-pressure environment.
- Demonstrated expertise in operational planning, resource management, and stakeholder coordination within the aviation industry.
Educational Background
- Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Airport Operations, or a related field.
- Advanced certifications in airport operations or management (e.g., IATA, ACI) are preferred.
Years & Type Of Experience
- 10-15 years of progressive experience in airport operations, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Hands-on experience in managing airport control centers, operational planning, and crisis management.
Digital & Operational Tools
- Proficiency in using airport management systems such as AODB, RMS, and FIDS.
- Familiarity with digital platforms for operational analytics, queue management, and passenger flow optimization.
- Experience with tools for crisis management and emergency response coordination.
