Job Description

What you’ll do


Own the full stack

Python/Django


Lead and mentor

Establish engineering best practices, conduct code reviews, and (as we grow) onboard and coach junior developers or contractors.


Ship green‑field GenAI products

Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex


Automate & scale

Design CI/CD, infrastructure‑as‑code, containerization, monitoring, and observability for cloud deployments (AWS/GCP/Azure—your call).


Champion quality & security

Implement testing strategies (unit, integration, e2e), enforce secure‑by‑default coding, and manage data privacy throughout the ML lifecycle.


You are

  • Seasoned:

    3 + years professional experience

    with Django

    and 3 + years with a modern

    JavaScript/TypeScript framework

    (React preferred).

  • Polyglot & pragmatic:

    fluent in SQL, REST/GraphQL, Git workflows, containerization, and cloud services.

  • GenAI‑curious (or better):

    hands‑on with Haystack, LangChain, LlamaIndex, or equivalent frameworks for building LLM apps.

  • Product‑minded:

    thrive in early‑stage ambiguity, turning sketches or paragraphs into shippable software.

  • Communicative:

    write crisp design docs and explain complex ideas without jargon.

  • Self‑directed & reliable:

    comfortable working solo across time zones, setting realistic estimates, and delivering on them.

Bonus points for

  • Production experience with vector databases (Pinecone, Qdrant, pgvector, etc.).
  • DevOps chops (Terraform, Pulumi, GitHub Actions, Argo).
  • MLOps experience (Vertex AI, SageMaker, BentoML, Weights & Biases).
  • UI/UX sensitivity or data‑viz expertise.
  • Prior startup or consultancy background.
