Job Description

Role: Key Accounts Manager-Sales

Location: Chennai

1. Channel Strategy & Business Development

- Develop and execute strategic plans for wholesale and government channels.

- Identify, onboard, and nurture partnerships with government institutions and wholesale distributors.

- Lead business development efforts aligned with public sector procurement frameworks and bulk sales.

- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including government procurement officers and wholesale partners.

2. Sales & Revenue Growth

- Achieve sales targets across assigned wholesale and government accounts.

- Monitor and analyze sales data to drive consistent volume growth.

- Drive bulk orders through seasonal campaigns, institutional tie-ups, and public tenders.

3. Tender & Compliance Management

- Identify and respond to relevant government tenders (e.g., e-procurement platforms).

- Ensure adherence to eligibility criteria, documentation, and pricing regulations.

- Maintain compliance with all statutory requirements and audit trails for government transactions.

4. Negotiation & Contract Management

- Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and delivery schedules for institutional and wholesale clients.

- Manage agreements and ensure timely renewals and service level agreements are met.

5. Relationship Management

- Serve as the single point of contact for government departments and wholesale clients.

- Resolve issues related to supply chain, documentation, and post-sales service.

- Conduct periodic business reviews and maintain a high level of satisfaction.

6. Market & Policy Intelligence

- Monitor government policy changes, funding cycles, and tendering trends.

- Track competitor activities in the institutional and wholesale segment.

- Share insights with internal stakeholders to refine offerings and strategy.

7. Reporting & Technology Utilization

- Use Excel, CRM, and BI tools for tracking key account performance and tender progress.

- Submit regular reports on order pipeline, tender status, and sales performance.

- Utilize analytics for better forecasting and strategic decision-making.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹600,000.00 - ₹800,000.00 per year
