Electrical & Hardware Design
- Design and develop analog and digital circuits for embedded systems.
- Perform schematic capture, circuit simulation, and component derating analysis.
- Work with cross-functional teams to define hardware architecture and interface specifications.
Component Engineering
- Select, evaluate, and qualify electrical components based on technical, cost, and lifecycle parameters.
- Ensure alternate component sourcing and manage obsolescence risks.
- Collaborate with procurement and supply chain teams on BOM optimization.
PCB Design
- Create and review PCB layouts using industry-standard tools (Altium, OrCAD, KiCAD, etc.).
- Collaborate with layout engineers to ensure signal integrity, thermal management, and manufacturability.
- Perform design reviews for DFM (Design for Manufacturing) and DFA (Design for Assembly) compliance.
Verification & Validation
- Develop and execute test plans for functional, electrical, and environmental testing.
- Support lab bring-up, debugging, and troubleshooting of prototype boards.
- Document test results and ensure traceability to requirements and specifications.
