Introduction:
Tourmax Destination Management, a leading name in the travel and tourism sector, is seeking an experienced and dedicated Senior Accountant to join our corporate finance team. This role is pivotal in providing accurate financial information and support to management, helping to steer the strategic and operational decisions of our dynamic company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare accurate monthly financial statements and other business reports to reflect the company’s financial status.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, perform variance analysis, and recommend actionable strategies to improve profitability.
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws and procedures including GAAP standards and internal policies.
• Coordinate with external auditors to facilitate annual audits.
• Manage budgeting and forecasting processes, providing senior management with detailed reports and projections.
• Oversee accounts payable and receivable, tax computations, and other routine ledger operations.
• Develop and maintain internal control mechanisms to safeguard financial assets of the company.
• Mentor and lead junior accounting staff and oversee their daily activities.
• Streamline accounting functions and operations, improving accounting systems and processes where necessary.
• Actively participate in strategic planning and the execution of fiscal policies and procedures.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. CPA or advanced degree in accounting preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years’ accounting experience, specifically in the tour operations industry or a related field.
• Strong understanding of accounting software and databases; proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong leadership skills and experience in managing a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Desirable Attributes:

• Experience with financial reporting requirements in the tourism sector.
• A proactive approach to continuous improvement in financial processes.
• Knowledge of international finance.
