Junior Accountant

1. Financial Record Keeping

• Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally and ERP systems.
• Ensure timely data entry of all vouchers – purchase, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries, etc.
• Maintain accurate records of invoices, receipts, and payments.
  

2. Accounts Payable & Receivable

• Assist in processing vendor invoices, verifying payments, and ensuring timely disbursal.
• Prepare customer invoices and follow up for timely collection.
• Reconcile vendor and customer accounts regularly.
  

3. Bank and Cash Transactions

• Record all bank and cash transactions.
• Prepare bank reconciliation statements on a monthly basis.
• Handle petty cash disbursements and reconciliation.
  

4. Statutory Compliance Support

• Assist in the preparation and filing of GST returns (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B).
• Help with TDS calculations, deductions, and timely payments.
• Support in monthly PF, ESI, and professional tax filings.
  

5. Internal Controls & Audit Support

• Ensure compliance with internal control policies and procedures.
• Assist during internal and statutory audits by providing required documents and clarifications.
• Maintain proper audit trails and document filing for easy retrieval.
  

6. Reporting and MIS

• Support the preparation of monthly reports like cash flow, expense summary, receivables, and payables aging.
• Assist in preparing P&L accounts and trial balance for review by the senior accountant.
• Highlight any discrepancies or unusual transactions.
  

7. Coordination & Communication

• Coordinate with departments for required bills, approvals, and clarifications.
• Communicate with vendors and customers regarding financial transactions or queries.
• Support senior accountants and finance managers in ad-hoc tasks or projects.
