Ensure preventive maintenance and operational check being conducted for all equipments in the OT. To be aware of surveillance activities of operation theatre and analyse the same with ICN. Responsible for the assigned patients overall requirement and ensure patients needs are met. To supervise the sterilization of operation theatre and cleaning of instruments after the case and pack the same for autoclaving. To follow all the clinical instruction as per the Doctor's order on time which include: Vital Signs monitoring. Patient and Personal Hygiene. Following HICC protocol and other checklists. Structured entry in Nurses record. Right medication to right patient on time Sample collected and for processing. Safe transfusion. Safe infusion practices Preferred Candidate Profile: Diploma in General Nursing and Midwifery / Bachelor of Science - Nursing. Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse in Karnataka State [should possess valid Karnataka Nursing Council Number]. Experience: Minimum 3 Years experience as Staff Nurse - Cardiac Thoracic Operation Theatre from NABH recognized Hospital. Demonstrates ability to practice in accordance with legislation, policies and procedures affecting Registered Nursing practice. Demonstrates ability to accept accountability and responsibility for own actions within Registered Nurses scope of practice and works within the Manipal Framework Competency Standards for a Registered Nurse. Evidence of participation in own professional development and commitment to maintaining competence and enhancement of skills. Demonstrates understanding of evidence-based best practice and its contribution to changing practice and policies within the organization. Demonstrates effective interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team. Ensures that the quality of care provided to patients is safe, efficient, effective, accessible, and timely and consumer focused. Demonstrates competence, confidence and accountability in the safe delivery of patient care.
