This profile involves specialized skills in splicing, repairing, and maintaining conveyor belts using hot vulcanization techniques, ensuring smooth and efficient material handling in Cement Industry. Role & Responsibilities 1. Splicing and Repair: Expert in splice and repair conveyor belts using hot vulcanization techniques, ensuring strong and durable joints. Identify and assess belt damage, determining the appropriate repair method. Prepare belt ends for splicing, including removing rubber and separating ply layers. Operate latest technology vulcanizing presses and complete spot presses. 2. Installation and Maintenance: Install new conveyor systems and ensure proper belt alignment and tension. Perform routine maintenance on conveyor systems to prevent breakdowns. Inspect conveyor belts and related equipment for wear and tear, recommending repairs or replacements. 3. Preferred candidate profile 1. Conveyor Belt Splicing Certification : Splicers should have a certification in conveyor belt splicing. This certification should cover hands-on training in various splicing techniques and safety protocols. 2. ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent. 3. Technical training or certification in conveyor belt technology or a related field. 4. Minimum 10 to 15 years experience in splicing, repairing, and maintaining conveyor belts in Cement Plants. 5. Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills. 6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. 7. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 8.
