As a Scrap Crane Operator, you’ll play a key role in supporting our yard operations. Your primary responsibilities include sorting scrap , loading trucks , and loading balers using Ecrane or crawler crane equipment. Must-Haves: High School Diploma or GED Don’t have a GED? We’ll help you earn it through our fully-paid GED Works program! Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently Basic math and communication skills Ability to work well with team members Ability to follow and give instructions Basic problem-solving skills Ability to meet physical demands with or without reasonable accommodation (see below) Nice-to-Haves: Knowledge of various types of scrap metal Previous experience operating a mobile crane Key Responsibilities: Sort scrap materials by type and quality Load trucks and railcars using Ecrane or crawler cranes Load balers with sorted scrap for processing Relocate crane equipment throughout the yard Clean out spreads and maintain material flow Ensure a safe work environment and contribute to a culture of safety, teamwork, and continuous improvement Physical Requirements: Constant sitting Occasional pushing/pulling Minimal standing, walking, climbing, balancing, and reaching Ability to meet physical demands outlined in the Job Analysis Database We offer comprehensive health, dental, and vision benefits, along with a 401(k) plan that includes employer matching and profit sharing.
