Role Overview

The Jewelry Category Specialist will be responsible for managing and growing the jewelry category through effective assortment planning, vendor coordination, pricing strategy, and sales performance analysis. The role focuses on driving category profitability while ensuring compelling product offerings aligned with customer preferences and market trends.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage end-to-end category operations for Jewelry, including product selection, assortment planning, and lifecycle management

• Analyze sales performance, customer buying trends, and market insights to drive category growth

• Coordinate with sourcing, vendors, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely product availability

• Support pricing, promotions, and markdown strategies to maximize revenue and margins

• Monitor inventory levels, stock turns, and replenishment to avoid overstock or stock-outs

• Work closely with Planning, Marketing, and E-commerce teams for campaigns, launches, and forecasts

• Ensure product data accuracy including descriptions, pricing, certifications, and compliance standards

• Track KPIs such as sales, margin, sell-through, and contribution to overall business goals

Key Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of jewelry categories (fine, fashion, gemstones, diamonds, etc.)

• Analytical mindset with ability to interpret sales data and trends

• Commercial acumen and customer-centric approach

• Excellent coordination and stakeholder management skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel and category reporting tools

• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Qualifications & Experience

• Graduate/Postgraduate in Business, Merchandising, Fashion, or related field

• 1–2 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or buying (Jewelry preferred)

• Experience in retail, e-commerce, or TV shopping platforms is an added advantage
